Two Year, Full Time Term Position

The Antigonish Regional Emergency Management Organization (AREMO) is seeking a full time Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) for a two-year term. The EMC has overall responsibility for the coordination of emergency preparedness in the Antigonish area. Specifically, the EMC will be tasked with:
• Reviewing and updating the Antigonish Regional Emergency Management Plan;
• Collaborating with the Nova Scotia Emergency Management Office (NSEMO) to facilitate training and skill development for municipal officials;
• Coordinating emergency planning among key stakeholders, specifically between the AREMO and St. Francis Xavier University; and
• Developing a regional approach to comfort and warming centres by engaging with community partners and facilities.
