St. Francis Xavier

The Gerald Schwartz School of Business is seeking interest from possible candidates for a full-time Lab
Instructor position for a nine-month contract during the 2019-20 academic year. The successful candidate
will be hired to work alongside faculty to design and deliver a lab curriculum to complement and support
the introductory courses in business administration. The candidate should possess a broad knowledge
base, familiarity with the main functional areas of business, and currency with topics ranging from
strategic management to globalization to corporate social responsibility.

Candidates will be considered based on their combination of business education and work experience to
support our focus on relevant curriculum and education and our commitment to teaching excellence.
Ideally, candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in business (master’s degree or professional
designation are considered assets), relevant work experience, experience with instructional design and/or
delivery in a post-secondary context, and a capacity for collegial service.

The Gerald Schwartz School of Business houses three departments and offers a Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams as well as a thesis-based honours program, a
co-op option, and, multiple international exchange opportunities. St. Francis Xavier Univeristy (StFX) is
one of Canada’s leading primarily undergraduate universities, nestled in the small Nova Scotia town of
Antigonish. Our historic residential campus is home to a population of around 4,000 students, one-in-five
of whom are in the BBA program.
