APPLY TO: with subject heading “Production 2020”
Reporting to the Production Manager/Technical Director, responsibilities will include, but not
be limited to:
 Research historical backgrounds and detail of prop designs as required
 Construct or procure (purchase/borrow/rent) all props as required, under the guidance
and approval of the set designer and PM, and within budgetary limits
 Prepare rehearsal props as required
 Maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment, including performing minor
repairs to theatre equipment and tools
 Organize and maintain props storage areas. Monitor stock and inform PM of required
 Maintain props during the run of shows where possible
 Work, when necessary and feasible, on other theatre or production projects
This position is suitable for an emerging props designer or student.
