Tribus Services has an immediate opening for the position of Utility Installation Dispatcher at our downtown New Glasgow, NS location. This position will support our Digital Electric Meter project with Nova Scotia Power. We are replacing analog type electric meters with new digital meters. This project has an estimated completion date of 11/2020.

Position Overview:

Develop, plan and implement installation schedules and routes, and daily and weekly calendars for field staff, taking into consideration available capacity, inventory levels, installers skill set and the most effective installation order sequence. Use IFS Work Order Management System (WOMS) to complete responsibilities. Maintain, support and troubleshoot scheduling software. Troubleshoot issues of hand-held devices used in the field.

Responsibilities:

Develop and plan master production schedules and casting calendars taking into consideration available capacity, inventory levels, customer requirements, and the most effective installation order sequence
Analyze, plan, and prioritize all installation routes available using Mobile Dispatching System.
Coordinate appointments with Call Center personnel on a regular basis
Dispatch production schedules, work orders, and planned routes to Field and Warehouse Technicians.
Analyze actual production numbers versus forecasted numbers for each route assigned on a quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily basis providing written analysis of actual versus forecast production numbers along with recommendations for potential changes to future planning strategies.
Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and work orders. Examine documents, resources, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and expectations.
Generate district route reports and provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties.
Use root cause analysis to change and revise production schedules based on this information as required.

Preferred Skills:

· High school diploma or equivalent education. Associates degree in Information Technology/Computer Science preferred.

Previous experience using a work order management system (WOMS), service order system or mobile dispatch system required. Prior route planning/logistics/supply chain experience is an asset.
High level computer expertise using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, and Excel.
Experience writing queries for database software such as Microsoft Access or SQL preferred.
Utilities experience preferred
